Jasper

CATARACT SURGERY
Treated by
Dr. Andréa Minella

Jasper, a 13-year-old pug, was diagnosed with diabetes, a condition that, in dogs, often leads to the rapid development of cataracts. Over time, Jasper’s vision declined significantly, and he began showing signs of vision loss.

His family brought him to the Veterinary Eye Center, where Dr. Andréa Minella confirmed that his cataracts were the cause of his vision loss and that he was a good candidate for cataract surgery.

Under Dr. Minella’s care, Jasper underwent successful surgery in both eyes to remove the cataracts with artificial lenses placed to restore his vision.

Thanks to cataract surgery and a dedicated care team, Jasper has regained his independence and quality of life, showing that even in his senior years, clear vision is possible.
